Prosecution – HGV travelling through Stanton-by-Dale
A local Nottinghamshire based company has been recently prosecuted for failing to observe the Stanton-by-Dale ‘Weight Restriction’ signs. The Tipper Vehicle was towing a trailer and had a gross maximum weight of 11 tonnes. Despite previous written warnings from Derbyshire Trading Standards, who took out the prosecution, the company vehicle drove through the village. The company pleaded guilty and a fine imposed by the court was £650 plus £115 cost and £15 ‘victim surcharge’.
